The size of the pig skin hides run anywhere from 10-14 sq ft per piece. One side is smooth, the other is suede. Very few scars or holes due to the fact that each piece is hand picked for you. Depending on how many squares you order, you may receive one or more pieces to equal total squares ordered. We try hard to fill the order as close to the total squares ordered. But because the hides are pre-cut in predetermined square amounts, its difficult to get the exact number of squares ordered to the exact square, we pull a piece or pieces as close to the total squares you order. If the total squares are greater than or less than the ordered amount, we will adjust your invoice accordingly. We usually can get pretty close to the ordered amount and the difference is only within a few squares one way or the other. Hides are period correct for different reenactors time periods, free-trapper craft projects and living history events.
